  • Hi there and welcome!

I am a photographer based in Northern VA, specializing in Interiors, Brands, and capturing the love of a family on medium format film. Having earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth University and being a photographer for 8 years, I’ve been able to blend my love for capturing a feeling through an image with my love for spaces, people, and stories. Whether it’s the feeling of being inside a beautifully designed place, the feeling of a brand’s story and how it draws people in, or the feeling of a 3 year old’s tiny arms wrapped around their mother and the impossible joy felt at hearing their sweet giggle, my heart connects with each one of these and translates it into imagery that has soul and evokes emotion. I believe in telling a story, beautiful light, gratitude, and always seeing the beauty in life and in others.

There are some couples that just grab your heart. Who leave a mark on it that is so indelible. From the very first moment Christine and I spoke, there was an instant connection. I always feel so blessed when I get to meet people who are as lovely as these two, get to know them as they are on the road to saying ‘I Do’, and then it culminates in documenting their special day. What could be better than this!?!! But when it goes beyond, and turns into an even deeper connection, I literally feel like my heart could burst. Christine and Joe are good, good people. So loving and kind. And everything about their day echoed this. They were surrounded by many amazing cousins, aunts, uncles, family members, and friends. They put so much thought into treating their guests to an amazing time, including a special performance by Jahstix at cocktail hour (one of their favorite musicians from their time spent in Long Beach). Their love of Italy led them to host their day at the Bourne Mansion. With it’s tree-lined brick walkways, large columns, and water views, it was the perfect place for them to tie the knot. Christine’s love of pink and butterflies were sprinkled throughout the day, and she looked absolutely stunning in a one-shoulder lace Jim Hjelm dress and Kate Spade shoes. One of the best parts of the night was a surprise dance by the couple to “Home” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zero’s. And the dancing didn’t stop there. Guests partied the night away and surrounded this incredibly sweet couple with so much love!

Christine and Joe, you two are so wonderful. I really can’t put into words how great I think you both are, and how nice it’s been getting to know you. Christine, you have turned into a friend, and I am so thankful for that. To see the way Joe treats you and loves you fills my heart up, and I know you two will have an incredible life together! Thank you for giving me the privilege of being a part of your day and your lives!!

Two amazing families. Two beautiful cultures. Their personal stamp on everything. A deep love for each other built upon a solid foundation of a true friendship.

These are the things that will forever stand out in my mind as I think about the beautiful wedding day of Anne and Oscar. They love each other tremendously, and they are also the best of friends. Their wedding was a celebration of this, and the life they have built together. Oscar’s mother, father, sister and other family members traveled all the way from Peru for this day. To see the joy on their faces as they watched him marry Anne, and to see them celebrate at the reception was so special. And Anne’s family I truly can’t say enough about. Her father is kind, loyal, and incredibly caring. To see how much he loves her mother brought me to tears more than once. Her sister, brother, and her many aunts and uncles were so loving and welcoming, and they poured all of their happiness into Anne and Oscar. Nothing was more important to them on their wedding day than to celebrate with these people and all of their many friends. So while they had some amazing details  – Oscar is a chef in Manhattan and carefully planned and prepared the menu. A family friend, Megan Dachisen, worked with Anne to create the loveliest center pieces made of mismatched teapots, fresh herbs, and wooden boxes – no detail was more important to them than the people with whom they shared in this day.

Their wedding was truly special and reflective of who they are as a couple and the love they have for the people in their lives. Anne and Oscar, thank you for inviting me to capture these special moments for you! It was truly a pleasure! (And Anne, we have to take a minute to pause for your beauty!!  You are absolutely stunning in that gorgeous dress and those Jimmy Choo shoes!!)
