  • Hi there and welcome!

I am a photographer based in Northern VA, specializing in Interiors, Brands, and capturing the love of a family on medium format film. Having earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth University and being a photographer for 8 years, I’ve been able to blend my love for capturing a feeling through an image with my love for spaces, people, and stories. Whether it’s the feeling of being inside a beautifully designed place, the feeling of a brand’s story and how it draws people in, or the feeling of a 3 year old’s tiny arms wrapped around their mother and the impossible joy felt at hearing their sweet giggle, my heart connects with each one of these and translates it into imagery that has soul and evokes emotion. I believe in telling a story, beautiful light, gratitude, and always seeing the beauty in life and in others.

Where oh where to begin with this amazing wedding! It was truly like a fairytale. From start to finish, Kristen and Gordon made this day their own. It was rich with so much tradition and was so incredibly unique. When Kristen contacted me from London last year, telling of her plans for a wedding that honored the fact that her fiancé was from Scotland and that they currently lived in England, I knew it was going to be amazing. A self-proclaimed detail and Style Me Pretty lover, I knew she was going to have some really beautiful plans in store. But the day totally blew any expectation I had out of the water!  I just loved how her decor felt so…British! I immediately felt like I was transported to the British countryside, and I know guests did too! From the colors, to the authentic British cab that transported the couple from the ceremony, to the gorgeous florals and candelabra’s, to the fact that the reception was held in Kristen’s parents beautifully landscaped back yard, to the thistle included in the groom’s boutonniére (the national flower of Scotland!) to the fascinators. Oh the fascinators!! It was impeccable. One of the highlights of the day for me was the Kaylee dancing. Instead of the traditional American reception that we typically see in the states, Kristen and Gordon decided to have all Kaylee dancing and a Scottish band for their reception. They treated their guests to fun Scottish music all evening and even taught them how to do each of the traditional dances! I am not sure I have ever seen guests have so much fun! It was so festive and such a great way to get everyone involved. And did I mentioned the kilts?? I am in love with the kilts, which, by the way, guests wore too, since so many of them were from Scotland, Ireland, and England. Seeing their sweet and super hospitable families come together and celebrate the marriage of these two was the cherry on top to such a perfect day. These two love each other so much, and that still remained the most beautiful part of the celebration. Gordon recited the poem “A Red, Red Rose” by Robert Burns during the ceremony to Kristen (tear-jerker!) and her parents had a beautiful stone plaque installed as a step in their garden to commemorate their wedding day as a surprise to the couple. From top to bottom, this wedding was so thoughtful, love-filled, and meaningful, and I could not have been more honored to have been a part of it! Kristen and Gordon, I wish you a lifetime of happiness and love!
