Pictures are powerful. They evoke emotion and bring back feelings. They narrate our memories and are the heirlooms that stand up to the passage of time. They are always ready to transport us back to the moments we carry in our heart, the ones that really matter. This is why I fell in love with wedding photography.

Moments that make you feel connected in a way nothing else can. That tell your story, and the story of the ones you love. I couldn’t be happier than when I’m behind my camera, capturing couples in the most authentic way possible. I genuinely love seeing people happy and I FEEL this happiness with them. It’s through this connection that I am able to capture the true essence of their wedding day. Searching for our wedding photographer left me teary-eyed at wedding slideshows numerous times. I found strangers sharing in such an emotional, important day so moving because to me nothing is more important than this connection of love we all share. It’s these ‘grab your heart, this is what life is all about’ moments that I love preserving. A glance, a laugh, an embrace, the tears – these all weave together to tell the poetic, enduring story of your wedding day. They become the moments that will matter even more in 20 years. That will ground you and bring you back, and tell your story to future generations. Maybe it’s the hopeless romantic in me, but it’s a real life fairy tale right in front of my eyes every time, and I can’t imagine anything better!

I’m a film photographer based in the Washington, D.C. suburbs, sharing life with my wonderful husband, our sweet baby boy, and 2 fur-baby rescue beagles, Buddy and Bruno.
