Frances and Greg’s wedding day was full of joy, love, and excitement. For their engagement session in NYC we had snow, so it shouldn’t have come as too big of a surprise when it decided to rain on their wedding day. After all, precipitation is said to be good luck, and so these two have double the weather blessings!  This day was so full of so much beauty that no rain could dampen the happiness of these two. There was something really sweet about Frances and Greg both getting ready at their parent’s homes. Frances had an incredible team helping her. Claudia Pedala and Maureen Pedala did an amazing job with her hair and makeup, creating Frances’ vintage, 1920’s look. When she stepped into her Rosa Clara gown from Kleinfield Bridal I think every single one of us in the room gasped. And her veil!! I have never seen a more stunning veil or stunning bride. It was the perfect match! Her headpiece from Thomas Knoell Designs was the perfect crowning accessory. They were married at St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction, NY and then we traveled to West Point grounds for portraits. The porch of one of the gorgeous mansions on the property was just the right backdrop for their portraits and was meant to be. It fit their day perfectly! The party kicked off the Thayer Hotel where the bride and groom didn’t waste any time getting on the dance floor! I loved how important it was to Frances for her guests to dance and enjoy themselves! One of the moments she was looking most forward to was everyone dancing to the song “Shout” and it didn’t disappoint! Everyone was on the dance floor and it was so much fun to photograph! All of her beautiful art deco touches came together perfectly in the reception decor – the prohibition labeled wine for favors, the rock candy served with each persons champagne for the toast, the various F. Scott Fitzgerald quotes around the party. It was so wonderful to see her vision come to life! It was such a joy and honor to capture their wedding day and I wish them all the best in their new life together! Congrats you two!!
