Amanda + Matt | Snug Harbor Wedding | New York City Wedding Photographer

This wedding. Where to start with this impeccable wedding. It’s like the glorious beauty of fall, the perfect level of sophistication and elegance, and the most in love couple got together and decided to throw one heck of a party. Amanda and Matt are  an amazing couple for so many reasons. At their engagement session in Central Park this summer, I got to know them both a little better, and aside from seeing their kindness and how in love with each other they are, I knew their wedding would have a certain sophistication about it. Held at  Snug Harbor Cultural Center in New York City, it was full of  all the little details that make a day perfect. From Amanda’s gorgeous Allure Couture bridal gown, to her family heirloom cameo necklace and her blue suede Bruno Magli shoes, she radiates style. I loved the gorgeous orchids in her hair too, done by Crysalis Salon. There were SO many stunning places at Snug Harbor for beautiful portraits, but we could have been anywhere and these two would have made them perfect. You can literally see how much they love each other in each one. From their smiles, to the way they linger in their kisses, to their hugs…their love makes the portraits gorgeous. The rose garden was a beautiful location for the ceremony, and the oversized windows of the great hall were the perfect backdrop for their reception decor. Their palette of reds, oranges, browns and yellows made for perfect flower arrangements by Clark’s House of Flowers, and I loved how they personalized the table names. Matt is a ballroom dancer and so each table was named after a different dance. I knew at their engagement session that their first dance would be amazing (I got to witness a little preview of their moves), and it hands down was one of the best ones I have ever seen! So many of their guests were also exceptional dancers, and it was such a joy to photograph them all at the reception! The night was capped off with a homemade cookie bar, with cookies and treats made by the bride, her mother and her sisters. One of the best dessert bars I have ever tasted, each cookie was delicious (that’s not all her mom made, check out the adorable pillows for the alcoves at the reception – handmade by her mom)! It was such a perfect day, but most importantly it was so “Amanda and Matt”. It was beautiful, full of love, with a beautiful ease to it, and yet still full of so much sophistication and elegance.

Cheers you two, to many, many years of happiness ahead!!
